Our Online Auction 13, Silverware, Art Objects, Ceramics, Sculpture, Furniture, was held exclusively online and by telephone participation on May 12, 2022 starting at 3:00 pm. The auction featured a large collection of lots from private Bolognese collections.
Among the silver, we particularly note the hand-chiseled silver vase by silversmith Oreste della Mura (lot 197) and the lot consisting of jug and plate by silversmith Gaetano Tadiello (lot 196). Within the section devoted to objets d’art was the dark patina bronze sculpture of 19th-century French provenance depicting “Bust of Minerva” (lot 5), the glass paste vase with floral acid decoration by Emile Gallé in the 1920s (lot 61), and the Austrian porcelain vase with a circular cross-section decorated with irises in relief barbotine on a blue mottled ground from the 20th century (lot 61). Furniture items were also presented during the auction and during the days of the exhibition, such as the Empire-style walnut dormeuse from the early 19th century (lot 23), the inlaid wooden sideboard from northern Italy from the late 1800s with an open central part supported by two capitals and decorated with battlements, side parts with lower doors decorated with Orientalist-style scenes within ogival arches (lot 28), the eclectic-style wooden etagère decorated with friezes and gilded trim from the early 20th century (lot 22).
