Impressive Chest of Drawers, late 17th – early 18th century.

Description: Veneered in walnut burl with maple stringing and fruitwood banding, the front is embellished with four drawers featuring veneered and inlaid reserves, framed by pilasters likewise veneered with walnut burl panels. These pilasters open to reveal small drawers with veneered fronts concealed within. The veneered top, decorated with reserved panels, features a moulded owl-beak edge. The sides repeat the pilaster motif, while the base is defined by a moulded cornice resting on bracket feet. Retaining its original period hardware, H cm 105.5×184.5×75.
