Research and Quality: The Great Passions of Gregory’s Auction House Bologna

AUCTIONS AND PRIVATE SALES

Gregory’s Auction House was founded in Bologna in 2013, in the heart of the city, beneath the iconic Two Towers, organizing auctions of furniture, paintings, works of art, and antiques. As its auction calendar expanded, Gregory’s moved its headquarters to Palazzo Brazzetti, one of the many historic buildings that make Bologna an internationally renowned cultural destination.

Within this prestigious palace, Gregory’s holds its auctions. Originally focused on antiques, the Auction House now presents a diverse range of sales, embracing the many facets of the art market and serving both a national and international clientele.

OUR AUCTIONS REACH A GLOBAL AUDIENCE

Thanks to the development of our online and live auction platforms, together with the possibility of bidding by telephone, participation in our auctions has grown significantly both nationally and internationally. Our auctions are also published on the leading Italian and international auction platforms.

A strategic communication and marketing plan, supported by features in major newspapers and industry publications, has rapidly increased Gregory’s visibility beyond Italy’s borders.

Our elegant, comprehensive catalogues, carefully researched and designed with a dedicated graphic identity, are the result of meticulous selection and specialist expertise.

CERTIFICATION OF WORKS OFFERED AT AUCTION

The works offered at auction are selected through a technical examination aimed at assessing their authenticity, together with an art historical analysis to determine their period, provenance, and attribution. This meticulous process is often carried out in collaboration with internationally recognized scholars and specialists in the field.
