The “Filla” carafe made by Alessandro Stefani, master silversmith active in Bologna in the 20th century, represents a refined example of Italian artistic goldsmithing of collecting interest. The work is executed in silver with a vermeil interior and features a rich applied decoration with carnelians and hardstones.
From a formal point of view, the carafe stands out for its architectural profile and relief decoration inspired by stylized vegetal motifs, harmoniously integrated into the silver surface. Moreover, the alternation between patinated silver and the internal gilding creates an effective material contrast, while the inclusion of coloured stones introduces a balanced and measured visual rhythm.
