AUCTION 74 | DESIGN & DECORATIVE ARTS – We have opened the fall auction season with an event entirely dedicated to design: AUCTION 74 | DESIGN AND 20th CENTURY DECORATIVE ARTS
Leading the auction was the magnificent “Rosa dei Venti” table created by Mario Ceroli for Poltronova, sold for €10,880. We also featured lighting pieces that have become modern design classics, such as the table lamps created by Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte.
Among the highlighted items were the “Sarpi” table by Carlo Scarpa with a shaped glass top, sold for €1,875, the “Tolomeo” mahogany desk by Ico Parisi, sold for €2,375, and the sculpture by Mario Schifano “Per costruzione di oasi” from 1979, sold for €4,500.
Other notable names at the auction included Tom Dixon, Kazuhide Takahama, Giancarlo Piretti, Enzo Mari, Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Afra and Tobia Scarpa, Carlo Hauner, Luca Scacchetti, Alain Delon, Philippe Starck, Tommaso Barbi, Richard Sapper, and manufacturers such as Sirrah, Kartell, Flos, Seguso Vetri d’Arte, Barovier & Toso, Artemide.
